Bernard Chaet's career spanned nearly 60 years.  His works are included in a variety of public collections – the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Academy in New York, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Museum of Fine Art in Boston. *(from LewAllen Contemporary exhibit brochure in 2008)

Chaet's paintings are exciting and explosive.  His interpretations of a rocky coastline or a cow pasture are new and incredibly vibrant.  A painting of Stage Fort Park in Gloucester, MA is very stylized and charming at the same time.  The heavy paint adds to the texture and interesting and colorful composition.
