If you are drawn to marine paintings, then you are no doubt mesmerized by the sea, a s h uman being s h ave been for thousands of years. Paintings of sailing vessels, depictions of the activities of the maritime industry, and portraits of the many faces of the sea herself -- all these have long provided inspiration for American painters. Because of its universal appeal, artists of diverse schools and techniques all created paintings of the sea.
